This is a resource I use for SEN students who are completing Art sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their Art EHCP goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This is a 2 page resource to support students understanding of art vocabulary and its description. Students have to match the art vocabulary words to its description.

This is a 3 page resource where students can self assess their work after completing an art project. It asks students state the art movement, which formal art elements have been used, what went well, what would improve the work, the inspiration behind the art work and to add photographic evidence of the work. There is also an opportunity for tutors to provide feedback and what next steps are needed.

This is a 1 page resource where students can peer assess each others work. They can state, what the artist did well, what they would like to see more of and what the art work shows. It can be used for the criteria : Comment constructively on someone else’s work.

This resource is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet. It is a Formal Art Elements work booklet, which can be used as an activity as part of learning about Formal Art Elements, as a stand alone project for substitute teaching or as an Initial Assessment task. The resource covers the Formal Art Elements: Texture Colour Line Tone Space Shape Form Pattern Students are require to show texture via frottage (rubbings), add primary and secondary colours, fill a box with different lines etc.

This is a 1 page resource that includes an Art rubric that can be used as a self assessment by students completing an art course. It is easily adaptable to suit whatever art criteria you need. I used it with my students with Autism who were completing Art NOCN (National Open College Network) courses. It is a good way for students to visually see how they are progressing throughout their Art course and what criteria is still left to achieve.

This is a 1 page resource that can be used for students that require support in building social skills, such as students with Autism or Entry Level 1-3. Students can complete a quick 5 question quiz about social scenarios. This could be used a starter task before discussing/role-playing how to be polite in social situations. This resource could be used for students completing a Travel Training course, as students are encouraged to work on their social skills when in the local community; or used as evidence towards the Rarpa, PfA - Preparing for Adulthood target of Friends, Relationships & Community Skills.

This is a 4 page resource can be used for students that require support in building social skills, such as students with Autism or Entry Level 1-3. Students can cut out the various listening skills and then sort them into good listening skills and poor listening skills and stick them under the appropriate headings. Example listening skills include: Interrupting as they are talking Looking at the person talking Yawning and telling them how bored you are This resource could be used for students completing a Travel Training course, as students are encouraged to work on their social skills when in the local community; or used as evidence towards the Rarpa, PfA - Preparing for Adulthood target of Friends, Relationships & Community Skills.

This resource can be used with students that require support around building social skills. This is an activity where students can list 6 conversations starters on the sheet, before writing them onto a cube net and creating a conversation starter dice. You could use it as a social skills activity during Travel Training sessions, where students are encourage to practice good social skills in the local community; or used as evidence towards the Rarpa, PfA - Preparing for Adulthood target of Friends, Relationships & Community Skills.

This resource can be used for students that require Rarpa (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement); it is linked to the 4 PfA (Preparing for Adulthood) goals/targets: Employment Skills Independent Living Skills Friends, Relationships and Community Skills Good Health Skills This resource is a basic year plan for tutorials for the academic year 2023 - 2024, to cover the Rarpa Preparing for Adulthood goals. The year plan covers the 6 terms and includes a mindfulness/relaxation term.
